My husband was working the night shift (7pm-7am). I was left alone since I could no longer work due to an injury.
We decided to have a home security system installed. The system was set up to monitor the entire home when away and all exterior doors and windows when we were home.
About 2 months later the alarm stated acting up. One night I forgot to set the exterior alarm and was immediately reminded. About 3am, the alarm sounded. I jumped out of bed checked every where and nothing. Thinking it was faulty I called the company and was told that the office never received my alarm. They sent out a repairman the next day and I was told that everything was fine.
About 2 weeks later I came home about 1am after being out with my sister. I turned off the entire alarm but once again forgot so set the exterior. About 3 am the alarm sounded again. Again nothing was found. About 3 nights later at 3 am the alarm sounded and this time I know I set it but when I looked the alarm setting was off.
I would tell my husband but he kept saying maybe something is wrong with the system. This never occurred when he was home. The monitoring office kept telling me the system was OK.
So one night I woke up a little before 3 am and turned on every light in the house and walked thoughtout every room and said \"Thanks for watching over me but I think I will be fine as long as you let me sleep\".
Since then no other problems have occurred |
