Back in 1988 my family moved to a house in Oroville, California. I was thirteen years old at the time and right as we pulled into the driveway I knew something was terribly wrong with this house.
Within the first week of living there I started hearing voices coming from my bedroom closet if my radio was playing... the minute I turned it down it would stop. One day my dad and brother were sitting at the dining room table and saw a pair of feet behind the curtain at our sliding glass door. After about a month of living there my older brother got scared right out of his bedroom when his bed got dragged across the floor with him in it... at this point my mom finally admitted the house was haunted.
Within the next year of living there we had seen apparitions, heard voices, knocks on the walls... and one of the scariest times was when my entire family got scared out of the house due to a recording on tape of a very spooky sounding voice saying \"I wish we were together.\" We have since lost the tape, but have stored a recording of it in my mom\'s computer.
Since moving out of this house in 1989 and moving back here to Washington state, I cannot forget all the things that happened to us there and I have an extreme curiosity of the history. The mother of one of my friends at the time told me there was a murder in the house a few years prior and that there was stories of it being haunted all around the neighborhood... this was confirmed many times with neighbors. I know the address and have typed it into google hoping to find some stories on it, no such luck. The only things I have found are it being up for sale about three times in the past two years. So if anyone reading this knows of a house in Oroville at 2071 Campbell avenue to be haunted, I would sure love to hear and share stories. |
