Full Version: The Do's And Don't Of Seances

I know i am more than likely going to be lynched for even asking this but i was wondering if there is a right way and a wrong way to conduct a seance?

I know it can be very dangerous if done the wrong way so i wonder if the more experience investigators could offer some advise on what to avoid doing and how you can make it just that little bit safer to do.

So perhaps someone can offer a "How to" Guide to seances?

And lets try to avoid this getting into a mud slinging contest over the ethical implications of contacting the dead. smile.gif

Sir JGP
Hi

I would not worry about asking questions on here, everyone is friendly enough and it
is always wise to ask the correct way of doing things before going ahead, especially when
doing things like seances.

I am no expert on the subject of seances so I do not feel I am the right person to give
advice on the correct way to carry out a seance, but there are others on here with a lot
more experience than I who I am sure can provide you with the information you require.

Only advice I can give is to make sure you protect yourself and others in the seance before
start, I am sure others here can tell you how to do that and always treat the spirit you contact
in a polite manner and always be respectful to them.

Good Luck & please be careful thumbsup.gif

I agree with SirJGP...treat the spirits you contact with respect

It's always good to ask questions and even the "experienced" seek out suggestions from others in like fields of interest. it's a way for all of us to grow. smile.gif

Only thing I'll add is if you have good intentions then no evil or harm can or will come to you

I agree with the phrase you need to treat the spirits you contact with respect.

I am not so sure about if you have good intentions no Evil or harm can come to you.

I began my journey into the unknown with good intentions and learned how to communicate, and many good things came to me in the form of guides who wanted to work and write good things, but along with the Guides came three of my Relatives and Dr. P. who showed up and set out to try to destroy all the good intentions the guides and I had.

They decided to project into the sitaution a great battle between good and evil and the struggle goes on even after more than 20 years.

The worst part of my struggle is no one much believes the story I tell, and I have told my story and tried to explain what happened in my own personal situation so that others would know better how to handle such a situation if they meet up with some of their friends and or enemies in the After Life who decide to turn the situation into a struggle between good and Evil.

The thing that keeps me anchored is my quest for knowledge, and knowing somewhere up there High in the Universe is a voice of reason who helps me to deal with my situation and says we need to turn this into not only a Psychic Experience but a Scientific Experience as we work to uncover the secrets of the Universe.

your unwillingness not to believe no harm or evil can come to you is what lets it in, in my opinion. You open to them, through doubt so they come to you.

The rest of your post is off topic and your usual ramblings so I'll not comment on it here but if you would like to discuss it elsewhere feel free to start new topics.

Thanks i appreciate that.

I also really appreciate everyone elses comments. I very much agree that respect is needed hence why i am trying to find an appropriate way to contact a seance.

I have tried doing a bit of reading on this recently but most things i have read are a little vague. Anyone got any good recommendations for books or websites on the topic?
