Has anyone out there experienced a strange result from a deck of Tarot cards? In 1998 I decided to take out my Native American Tarot cards and do something with them, as I was depressed after quitting my job from too much stress. I'm sure some of you know the feelings that trail along with the aftermath. ...I had used them only once before and did a reading for a friend and my mother. I decided to cut the deck and see what came up. On my first cut, the Death card came up. Suddenly, my game plan changed and I put the card back into the deck and shuffled , then cut it again...Yes, there it was again! I repeated the action. Once again the Death card appeared! My heart was pounding at a great speed, as I tried it again, this time shuffling with my eyes closed. The Grim Reaper showed his image for the 4th time! ...I thought to myself this is beginning to become abnormal. I continued as before. The Death card came up the 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, and then on my final shuffle, the 9th time! ...I decided that I had gotten the message, and put them away. Many thoughts joined my already overcrowded psyche and I was very uncomfortable. ..After some serious thought, it occurred to me that the Death card doesn't always mean a physical death, but the beginning of a new chapter in life....But still, the message came about, in such a disturbing way that won't happen again. I don't even want to try. Some strange power entered those cards that day, and I'll always look at death with 360 degree thinking, always.

I get the death card a lot...signifying big changes, or ending of a period in life etc. I do think sometimes you get a very clear message through them though.

Hi, Titania, I'm doing a few readings with my Native American tarot cards this week with Catseye and wondered if you would like one also .A different view on things maybe? I haven't used these cards for 10 years. If you would like me to include you this week, please let me know. It's the Kachina Knife 5 card spread with Past, Present,Future and 2 Hilt cards of immediate attention. I have no reason to corrupt or spoil the cards outcome, as I explained to Catseye. I will scan the cards and you may see them yourself for conformation and truthfulness... I really enjoy this site, save for some "orb" freaks. I'm probably looked upon as an intruder, but I'll be gone soon, as internet bullsh** rubs me the wrong way, and paranormal isn't getting understood as something unexplainable. X Files Forever!......James.......Miigwetch

I have never had a reading myself. I do keep an open mind about things like that, I have just never had them done. Can anyone do them? I am Native American (some) but I didn't know there were Native American Cards. Are there lots of different types?

I had a reading many years ago...My best friends' Mom had cards and decided to do it....I was very young (10 I think) and just thought it was cool. Lo and behold...what she told me came true years later. I would love to have another reading sometime though.

Hi KentuckyVelvet,

I'm just starting out learning about tarot cards myself and have even done one reading for a friend with a regular deck of cards and the events actually came true. I've been looking for some myself and have searched the net to find that there are so many different kinds of cards, try the search for yourself. It's pretty cool! You don't have to be American Indian/Native American to use those types of cards either, all you need is an open mind wink2.gif

I find the Lovecraft deck to be quite accurate in most cases I used it though I'm still learning.

I had an angel card reading done on me, mostly one to determine who I was, and not my future..the reader was right on about a few things and even mentioned that I had some psychic ability that wasn't being used to its full potential and should use it more often...and that my guardian was the archangel Michael...which kinda chills me a bit considering Michael is the top angel and he deals with the heavy duty stuff....
