I woke up around 2:30 am this morning, I was actually having a dream that there was something by the side of my bed, the next thing I know a woke up because something grabbed my arm, I thought maybe it was my son. I got up and he was sound asleep. I did not feel scared at all, it was pretty cool.

Well, I would say that someone was trying to let you know they were around. Has someone you know recently passed?
If you weren't scared, how did you feel? Comforted? At ease? I've had a couple of similar experiences:

My parents purchased an old stone farmhouse as a "weekend home" and one of the first nights I had stayed there (for a family get together) I kept feeling as if something was brushing my face all night long. I kept thinking, "stupid bug!!" I had also thought that maybe it was hair in my face. Not too long after this incident, I had opportunity to see a psychic and took a picture of this farmhouse (outside view, just to see what she could tell me.) She pointed to 1 particular bedroom and told me that there was a spirit in the home. Actually 2 spirits.....1 she said, was an older female who was "Motherly". She said to me, "You will feel this, alot....." (and gestured by softly stroking her cheek with the side of her thumb.) I immediately got the chills because THAT was what I thought I kept feeling...just a light brush across my cheek and forehead!!! I never felt "threatened" by anything there. She also told me that there was the spirit of a younger man who was somewhat a prankster. (We know most of the history of this house....the house was built by a young man who died in his mid 30's and he is buried in the cemetery 1/2 mile up the road from the home.) My parents have experienced a few things there and they just shrug and go on. My young nephew had been staying the weekend with my parents and he had some toys with small parts out on the floor he was playing with. He was told to pick up and put away as they were going out to dinner. He did. When they came home, the parts were spread out on the floor again! I have also felt 3 quick, light touches as I had gotten into bed, turned out the light and settled in. I am not sure if it was a tug on the covers or just a light tap over my shoulder because what I felt was pressure on the outside of the blanket. Just light, but 3 distinct movements in about 5 seconds time. Again; not scared, but I felt like, "WHAT was THAT all about???" I can think of a few "people" it may have been, but just what it was they were trying to tell me or show me, I don't know.
