I have lots of questions, but I can't help but to wonder. I also asked the first two parts on a different board but it doesn't hurt to ask around.
Question 1.
Hearing stories about paranormal experiences people say they hear them talking/crying/screaming, they pick things up and throw them (or just move them) etc, etc, etc ....

But can they feel? Do they grow attached to people, do they become protective?
Can they follow you?

or ghosts and such from the 1800s(or even earlier) to like the 1970s you'd think they'd be curious with all the changes like fashion, technology and cars...

Do they sleep, eat, drink, .... Like you some people claim that the ghosts will flush their toilets or turn on the sink or dishes move, ya know?

Question 2.
I know cold spots are a big part of "supernatural" experiences but why? Is it because our bodies are cold when we die?

What about hot spots? Is there such a thing?

Question 3.
When a place is haunted or something and someone ends up with scratches or bruises how does that happen? Or bodily pains, pressure ... I mean especially from a ghost.

I'd get into more detail but I think you all get what I'm saying here, I'm just so tired right now. Lol.

I'm not sure they feel the way you and I feel... I have heard about having "angry" ghosts so I'm not very sure about this
Do they grow attached to people, do they become protective?
I think they can be attached or protective with the people they were attached/protective of in life.
Can they follow you?
A resounding YES! I have had this happen... am still having it in fact!

I think that to them, its still just the way it was when they died.

I don't think they need to do any of these things. These are trappings of Earth bound bodies.

Cold spots occur when energy is being used for "manifestations", leaving the spot where the energy was taken cold. At least, thats how I heard it explained

What about hot spots? Is there such a thing?
Hotspots happen in menopause.. lol... seriously, I don't think hotspots occur the way a cold spot would.. I have never heard of it anyways.

Question 3.

I think this happens with abnormally powerful spirits. I think your ordinary spirits don't have the power to drum up enough energy for such a physical occurance. Usually this happens (I think) when the living in the area are unusually emotional. This gives the spirit more energy to draw from.

I'm not sure how correct these are, maybe someone else can help more. These are my thoughts on the issue.

well i can really only answer #2...when a ghost trys to manafest, it uses energy,correct? thats why t.vs, radios, and such also flip out. and we use energy to create heat.....so when a ghost trys to manafest, it takes the energy along with the heat and leaves only cold. as for the other questions...i have no clue!

After channelling for many spirits both good and bad since l985 I will tell you what I know.
spirits can cause us to lose things, they can cause us to find things, and they do this by sending through ways that block our thoughts then when they have us frustrated and we say so they will miraculously find the items.
Some of this is not to be mean but to just tell us what they can do if they want to.

They can help us find locations and solve murders and all sorts of things if they want to and if they don't then they can make us say pretty please.

If we say mean things about spirits they retaliate with nightmares to show us they can do it and when we are nice to them they reward us with nice dreams.

They can help us lose our car in the parking lot by blocking our thoughts or they can help us find it if we ask them to.

They an tell the truth, they can lie and they can jump out of a oujia board and scare us half to death if we don't believe they are on the board.

Keeping in mind when we communicate through the board its usually relatives or friends we are speaking to in the after life and just as they were on earth sometimes they like to scare and or pull practical jokes to send us screaming.

Sometimes the spirits are right in the room and they will be talking on the board while standing very close to us sometimes causing cold air to blow on us and sometimes they can make papers go flying around the room scaring us half to death.

I will add now I am no longer afraid of hauntings or ghosts and I don't fear death at all, but on the other hand I am not ever rushing towards death because once there its hard to get someone to believe we are alive and when people like me tell stories its even harder to get people to believe these things without proof.

For example Stacey Peterson the missing woman from Chicago has appeared to me to say her husband killed her because she was going to divorce him and he didn't want to go through another divorce and dividing up property so she had to go.

I am trying to pinpoint where her body is buried and all I have been shown now is a white policemans helmet in a dense forest and a right hand sticking up from a grave.

I also saw two men looking down on a forest from a lite plane and they may have flown back over that to see if anyone is searching there.
Perhaps today more information will come better pinpointing where her body is to be found.

Ghost were people too at one point, so they still have feelings. For an older ghost from the 19th century, I don't think that they would care. Some ghosts don't mind and continue doing whatever, but im really unsure how they would feel in about our rapidly changing world. I don't think ghosts can eat or sleep or do really anything else (but i can imagine a large ectoplasmic fesis on the floor though).

To form, ghosts need energy to manifest. They can take it out of anywhere, an example would be electronics, or even the air around them, because there is always a charge in the atmosphere. The reason for cold spots is that ghosts are taking the energy out of the air causing the air to cool, therfore making a cold spot. I haven't found a good answer for hot spot spots just yet, but yes they do exist.

People can sustain injuries from ghosts. Ghosts can do many things from moving objects to hitting things. Some ghosts can inflict injuries upon people, sometimes its mild, sometimes its more serious. For example, during a ghost hunt in an armory, one of TAPS sound guys actually had his sound bag come up and hit him in the face. Another instance is there was this man living in a house with his wife, child and a child spirit. The child spirit was jealous of the man for being with his child to much so she started to leave scratch marks on his body. They actually recorded the scratch marks forming on his back one night during an investigation, and they were shocked later on that night when the words leave showed up on his chest.

You are right and Spirits can cause you to fall down stairs and miss steps when you climb on ladders if they are out to hurt.
They can call us terrible names and curse and even hit us so hard that we feel it.
I am not sure how they cause us to feel pain when they do this but they sure can.

i think its all part of their structure. I think that a ghost is made up of energy has to become almost solid to actually preform certain actions. For example, if its trying to move a glass on the table, that ghost will need to draw in energy and would have to become almost solid. Try and think of it like water. The normal form a ghost can be is like water vapor, particles spread around. To move something, the particles become more dense and allow the ghost to grab and move things.
