1. Always get permission & never vandalize, (this includes cemeteries). Trespassing/vandalism charges are likely to result in jail time and/or costly fines.

2. Always survey the location during the daytime prior to the investigation. Pay special attention to potential safety hazards, (i.e. uneven ground or holes) and make a note of where they are.

3. Never investigate alone! Go with a group, (no fewer than four people) & if you decide to split up, make sure someone is with you at all times. Otherwise, if you become injured no one will be there to assist you. In addition, keep in mind there are a lot of crazy people out there & you’re safer in numbers.

4. Bring walkie talkies, (they are an excellent way of communicating if your group decides to split up).

5. Change the batteries in your flashlight prior to the investigation & bring extras, (you may need to change them several times).

6. Clean all camera lenses prior to the investigation, do not take pictures in the rain, the snow, or anywhere near someone who is smoking.

7. When recording evp’s, always use new tapes, record only on one side, and bring extra tapes/batteries.

8. Obtain baseline measurements, (i.e. emf, temperature, etc) prior to an investigation.

9. Do not use provoking tactics, (certain spirits are capable of harming the living & the last thing you want is to piss it off). You won’t know the magnitude of what you’re dealing with until it’s too late & the repercussions could be costly.

10. Do not panic, think rationally, and do not run if you experience something, (you could fall/hurt yourself). Try to find a logical, scientific explanation for what you’ve experienced as opposed to assuming it’s paranormal.

That is all good advice, and remember if a Spirit should decide to take over your body and put you into a Possession type situation, you may have as much trouble convincing others that you are possessed by Spirits as say Audry Rose and I have had.

In these cases most people will label the possessed as cazy and in need of a Psychiatrist and Medication, and when you consult such a therapist you will learn that they too know nothing about Ghosts, hauntings and the after life and at that point in time if you insist of course the Therapist can get your relatives in on the situation and they can have you commited, and declared incompetent and take control of your estate and everything else and even make you a ward of the court if they choose and they will have a Therapist there to testify as an Expert in front of a Juge who believes those who dabble in this sort of things is nuts and you can see what can happen to those who believe as Jesus did that there is Life after Death.

Keep in mind that Jesus and Joan of Arc and the witches of salem believed in communication with Spirits and we all know what happened to them.

Sorry but just thought I would cover some of the responses I have gotten over the years to my claims that I can talk to spirits and see spirits.

A Little Humor always helps in my situation.

By the way no one has done any of those legal things to me, but once my sister did tell other family members if I don't stop trying to convince them that I am Psychic and can communicate with our relatives in the Spirit World one of them should pick up a gun and shoot me.

Then went on to say she had been studying middle-eastern Religion for many years and I had not and so if anyone was going to have these experiences it would be her.
