Do you believe in Spirit Possessions?

Do you know any friends, relatives or aquaintances who have ever been possessed by the Spirit of a Deceased Friend or Relative who would not accept their death and just wanted a body to sit in and pretend they didn't die at all?

Most people talk about Possessions as Demonic but few people believe that someone you knew before they passed over could come back and do this to someone and when it does no one will believe.

Yes, i believed in possessions.
The victims are disorientated, no clues on what is happening to them.
Sad, disturbed, exhausted etc.
And i believed you are possessing yourself.
Wake up ! you can't mix normal and paranormal on your everyday life.

Wow this must be a popular subject lately...b/c just this week on one of my parenting forums we were discussing this...

As far as people ghost possessions...never seen that...but I have seen the demonic...pretty much had to sit witness on a few exorcisms/deliverance whatever you want to call them...My mom was under the opinion it wasn't safe to have sleeping kids in the house when this went on b/c they were more vunerable in a sleeping state than awake...soooo yeah...one was my uncle...and one was a friend of my brothers...

You are wrong and in making statements like this you are telling the world you have no knowledge of this but choose to naysay it.

I know these things from my more than 20 years of experiene in communicating with the good and bad people can meet as they Channel for Spirit.

You on the other hand make off handed remarks like this from inexperience and lack of knowledge but of course you could prove this by developing your gift which enables Humans to speak to their friends, relatives and sometimes enemies who have shed their earthly bodies and now look down on Earth from beyond the veil of death, sometimes with bitterness and regrets.

If you are really experienced then your bad spirits will recognize me.
I was doing it for 40 years. Maybe you did not pass the supernatural initiation.

I have on many occassions asked these four to leave my body and become teachers and go teach those who don't believe my Story.
They so far have refused to get out of my body and the main reason for this is some of the others I have been working with threatened them and told them what will happen to them and now they are afraid to leave my body for fear of what will happen to them.
One of my problems with them is a book written by Spiritual Writer Ruth Montgomery that you might want to read which says:
"When Spirits become so Evil they can't be rehabilitated God steps up and Destroys them"

This is one of the Reasons they won't leave my body because they fear what may or may not happen to them and to cover up their fear they hide inside my body and cause me pain so I'll write about them.

For now I'll just use them as teaching tools and if I ever find out what happens to them we will know if the above mentioned book is true or not?

Another thing I am dealing with is another book that Ruth Montgomery published which was written with her Guides Thomas and Lily titled 'Strangers Among Us' and in that book Ruth and her Guides write about Walk-In's which says that God can remove the Spirit of a sinner and bring a more deserving Spirit back to take over the Body and it can walk the Earth and do great things.

Back on May 9, 1986 a spirit appeared to me in the Form of Jesus and told me I am a Walk-In sent back to earth at this time to Channel for he and other spirits in the After Life and these four decided if this is true they would enter my body and prove once and for all if God can remove them from my body and if he doesn't can they take over my body and force my Spirit out so they can have this body.

So you see I have no control over any of these things and I am just writing what happened to me as a Channel for Spirit and believe me few are buying the Stories I am telling but they are absolutely my experiences just as they happened to me.

You might ask well if this is true why don't I find an Exorcist and have them removed and I will say a little easier said than done.

I have also taken the attitude if Jesus and God have the power we believe them to have let them personally remove these four from my body and if they don't appear and do it I will keep writing about my Experiences because no matter what the power of God is or isn't I know there is life after Death and I intend to try to force these four out of my body to see how they are punished and write about it.

At this time the only thing I have as a Weapon to fight the Evil I am dealing with is my Computer and the story I am telling.

i have worked with a possessed woman and i can tell you its hard work and very scary to everyone. the spirit was so powerful it injured her so badly she ended up in the A&E one the day before i removed it.
it was no loved one it was bad, it was feeding off her, shes very happy now and has a whole new outlook on life.

Possession is such a subjective thing... its something based upon personal circumstances and its lack of objectivity means it is something science, notably psychology, often skirts around...

I might be a sceptic... but I wouldn't spend time with a possessed person.. why? Im chicken I guess

I find possession really interesting as a concept and also as a belief... we are so quick to dismiss the subjective because of its lack of objectivity, how can we measure and therefore prove the existance of a possession?

Interestingly enough though, this is how much of Psychology works. Mental disorders can be identified and measured under the schools of biological psychology whereby a tuma, for instance, would push upon a certain area of the brain and cause depression, schizophrenia and so on. However, in the case of behavioural, cognitive, psychoanalytical schools of psychology, every single problem that is diagnosed is only diagnosed as a result of the symptoms. Psychologists do not have any physical symptoms to measure or diagnose, like you would with a broken leg for example, instead they have to go by what they suspect.

This is the basis for my arguement in the favour of possession. While it is accepted that the symptoms of possession must be some kind of paranoid, schizophrenic episode, it is important that science looks outside of the box. You can't physically measure how "paranoid" someone is, you can only guess to what extent they are suffering; so how can you say for certain that someone is suffering from a psychotic episode when you can't actually measure that and say objectively 100% that is the problem.

In that respect, surely it is as ludacris to admit that it could be a psychotic episode as it would be to suggest its possession. Perhaps by admitting possession is a very valid human experience we could learn to help those who truley do suffer?

I saw a movie about a woman supposedly possessed by a murdered woman who was helping the possessed woman find the murderer. I thought it was entertaining. Then on some paranormal show, I can't remember, I saw the true story the movie was based upon. They claim it is the only time testimony coming from an entity of some kind was allowed in court. And the person was convicted. Who knows how true the "true" story was, but it was interesting. I suppose I believe this is possible. But I have never heard any first person stories.

It is supposed to be a very very rare experience, although some people argue it is very common but to a lesser extent... who knows? Perhaps we are all harbouring our own demons?

I do believe that Spirit Possessions are real, I have experienced being possed, and so has my friend... it is fasinating, even if it can and will harm people, I think if you've had the
?fortune? to experience it, you're luckly, not many people have the change, or just believe they are dreaming, well thats my point of view. lol. Spirit Possessions are real as you and me, I have seen Possessions first hand in my past and they are real, when your dealing with the spirit world. So this is a yes on my behalf, but its great to see other peoples veiws!

I am totally open to idea of spiritual possession, so little is known about the human brain and our psyche to discount it surely??

Some belive that only you can really allow your self to be possesed by some spirit other than you own.
Its a self portection. But if you leave your self open then it is more likely to happen then not.

My opinion but I do belive it is possable. To channel them if so much different then to be Possesed..

yeah so *cough* specially, since this thread was started by the "famous" girl rosemary, who claims (not saying she's not) to be the most powerful psychic in the world , or one of the most powerful, I'd like to see some photographic proof she could provide us, since she's so powerful, and has had SO many experiences over the last 20 years she said? I propose she buys cameras and records her whole house, if she is a "ghostly" channel, then something amazing will come up and I'd like her to show it to us, please. =)

I have never said I am the most powerful Psychic in the World and if I were I wouldn't be having the problems I am with my four Possessing Spirits.
If I had such powers as you are talking about I would point my brain inward and destroy them and send them into oblivion.
Instead I am trying to fight them off while trying to send information I have from a Higher Power off to Research Facilities hoping to help them eventually find a way to prevent Cancer and other Diseases and this is one of the reasons the Diabolical Dr. P. and his three Evil Helpers are sitting inside my body trying to damage my brain cells by banging against them day and night.
They are also hoping that I will not get the secret formula to the World that keeps my hair from turning white like most people my age.
I have used this formula to make a Baking Mix that can turn grey hair back to its more youthful color and I have also used the Formula to fortify my Oatmeal and things like that because when I eat this my grey hair disappears and I have renewed energy and when I don't eat the formula the hair turns almost rat white and becomes dry and unmanageable as many peoples hair does when it gets to that Stage.

Listen rosemary I can't say you're lying for I have no proof, but you can't prove what you're saying about yourself (which has been happening for 20 years) which is EVEN worse.. Sorry Rosemary but I do not agree with you being possessed. I don't think you would be able to function as a normal living human being if you were possessed. You would have had to ask these "bad" spirits to enter your body. That's asking for trouble if you were to ask me.

I have read through some of the things that you have wrote and I have thought various things while doing so. Have you gone to a doctor as your demons do not live in your stomach. If you are looking as though you are five months pregnant...there are many medical reasons for stomach swelling and many are fatal. You may have one of many disorders in which cause stomach swelling. A series of these also affect the brain. If it is stomach cancer, it sounds like it may be in a very late stage and if so the chance of recovery is not in your favor and likely has spread significantly to other parts of your body. I believe that you believe that you are going through this experience and it's got to be horrific to think these things are going on. I urge you to seek the help that you may need. Wouldn't it be great to have your demons gone? You've challenged God to "remove" them and for all research purposes will see if he will. God does not beckon to your demands and he also helps those who help themselves. He has provided cures for diseases....you just have to ask for them.

Believe what you will but I believe people with such closed minds which are unwilling to believe the truth and who are so brainwashed by a book written by Psychics so long ago should not be dabbling in the Paranormal.

You who are talking like this should think very carefully and realize that jesus who walked the Earth and who claimed to be a Channel for God was just another Psychic who was trying to cause those to believe in Life After Death.

You have to realize that the Scribes who wrote the Bible did a wonderful job and it has served the people of the World well down through the Ages but you naysayers should wake up and take your heads out of your a... and realize the scribes who called themselves prophets and made predictions and claimed to be channelling for the Angels were nothing but psychic Mediums just like the rest of us.

Now don't get me wrong I believe in a Creator and I believe in Evolution because first we were Created by a Magical Force called God then down through the ages we evolved from God knows what to this point in time and we will continue to evolve as we change down through generations.

For example go into the Dictionary and take a look at what they were calling Beautiful people a few hundred years back and take a look at all the beautiful people today and see how far we have come in what we are calling beautiful and this is through progress, and research and better medical facilities and better ways of getting food around the World.

Yes the Scribes who wrote the Bible were called Prophets and they had great knowledge but its no different than some of the predictions that I and many other psychic make which come true.

I for example do much more than what I have been writing about here but I have to give the world only what I think their intelligence can comprehend.

But don't feel bad about me saying that, because as we know Scientists are still pushing that old addage its all in your head and this is just why my four jealous, selfcentered possessing Relatives and Dr. P. are doing this and they are winning because the clueless people I am telling the Story to can't quite comprehend that if this could happen to me it could happen to them.

Remember in the days of Jesus he was constantly casting demons out of humans bodies and as he went along preaching and trying to educate people as to the truth they turned on him and murdered him.

The same thing happened to Joan of Ark who claimed to be channelling for God and the Angels and the same thing happened when in old Salem Mass they dubbed all Psychics as workers for the Devil and hanged them and burned them at the stake and from the response I am getting here I can see you haven't evolved much further than the people of those days.

And the only time you will ever believe what I am telling you is one day when its time for you to go and you suddenly find yourself up in the Spirit World with all your intelligence, and memories and you suddenly know the truth and when you try to find a Psychic to listen to you no one will believe because people like you set Research back to the Dark Ages.

OK, I think its time to step in here.

Ghost Mysteries is an open forum for people to discuss theories, 'evidence', experiences and sciences geared toward the study of paranormal phenomena. As with any psudeo-scientific study there will be those who have slightly more colorful viewpoints that may be a little hard for others to swallow. Thats fine, thats what this public forum is about, sharing ideas and hypotheses on a field that even today is still a very hit and miss area. Everyone is entitled to believe what they want. If you are to put your feelings forward, then prepare for discussion for and against the idea. I really would be saddened if discussions came down to a slanging match of religion vs. science. Discuss the possiblities, the comparisons, the differences by all means, there are plenty of us here that would like to read others' stance on the issue. While I follow no religious affiliations myself, thats not to say I don't find it interestring to read about. Please, people, what I am basically trying to say is keep it civil!
