ok i don't know if this is the section or real life encounters/books on ghost but i had a couple that i wanted to shar with you that i highly recommend...

the fist one is called "don't call them ghosts:the spirit children of fontaine manse" and the author named kathleen and her family move into an old victorian style home only to find out that there are three children spirits haunting the place..well the family really bond with the "children" and she makes the "children" her own. (they have children of their own who are ok with them) the older spirit she named buddy..the second spirit was a girl and she named her angel girl and there was another which was a baby boy...she even bought them gifts on christmas...they were really nice "children"..oh and let me tell you...i never cry on books but towards the end..(you have to read) i was crying my eyes out! it was sooo sad...it is a true story and a great one at that...another story kinda similar to this one is called "graves end and its a true story about her and her family move into a old huge house and basically go through a 13 year nightmare of being watched, having shadowy figures about, weird smells, balls of light, whispering, laughter and suffocating dreams.....they actually have the famous dr. hans holzer and an assistant come over to help them out(which they do)and discover that they had several entities who's bodies were buried in what she called a dirt room(in the basement)...this is a very good book...it took me a day and a half to finish cause i couldnt put it down! my friend who let me borrow it let me keep it!
i have other books to recommend that id bought and of course already read tooo quick! : "the world's most haunted places..thats from two famous ghost hunters who have their own site..forgot the names..one called "the haunted queen mary" that i got when i spent the night onboard the sppoky ship..another called "graveyards" i have another one but i lent to my friend at work...that one is about different investigation groups who share their favorite investigations...i'll have to give the name when i see it tomorrow...as well as post more good reads..i love reading about the true encounters..

I like Peter Underwood's books, he has published an absolute ton of them over the years. He is the president of Englands 'Ghost Club'. A couple of my faves are 'The A-Z of British Ghosts' and ' Nights in Haunted Houses'.

I have quite a huge collection of books on the subject, so I will get back to you on some others original.gif

Also, I will move this to the 'Investigation and research' section.
