So, as we know the 'haunted painting' was sold on Ebay (for a pretty hefty sum, if I remember correctly). It seems as though the worlds most popular auction site has more than its fair share in 'haunted' 'supernatural' merchandise. I keep an eye on anything Mothman related and in doing so this morning, came across this auction Clicky here to see it. The auction page comes complete with photo's of a haunted doll with supposed anomalies...

I would be interested in hearing your feedback on this, and also your thoughts on trading alleged 'haunted' items on there. When is it acceptable? when has it gone too far?

EDIT:I just re-read the auction and I find it a little disturbing that this seller is saying that a spirit of a deceased girl who died in the Silver bridge collapse is connected with this doll.

And as for the supposed 'anomaly' pictures, 3 of them look as though they stuck a fibre optic lamp behind her....

I believe they have more than likely spent some time crafting this after the haunted painting and are relying heavily on a big chunk of the mothman legend to help garner profits, which is sad.

But there is someone out there who will eventually buy the doll based on the account given....blehhhhh

I think people are just too damn poor these days and will do anything to get some money.. for instance.. there was this piece of wood, that kind looked like the face of a man, and the owner said "I'm selling it on ebay, when I cut this piece of wood off it's original tree, I believe I freed a spirit and ever since he has taken care of me, but now he wants a new owner" how lame is that man? lol

I am not familiar with selling on E-Bay but after reading some of this I have an idea.

I'm thinking if by chance I get these four possessing spirits to agree to leave my body I could put them in a bottle and put the top on much like the 'Genie in the Bottle" on the old television show and who knows how much I could be bid for that bottle on E-Bay.

The Secret of course would be to never take the top off the bottle and let the Evil Spirits out or it could be they would pop right into the Owners body and they would be the ones with the Possessing Spirit.

Of course we would have to put a label on the bottle warning about this so when the bottle is inherited by family members after the present owner dies they would know the bottle must never be opened or the Spirits would escape and the curse would follow that person until they could figure a way to get the Spirits out of their body and back into the bottle.

hmmm, I smell a potential lawsuit there Rosemary....

now we know why people sell "possessed" stuff on ebay..

I have no intention of ever doing that what I was pointing out is the Spirits in the Bottle is just about as Logical as a Haunted Doll or things I have heard in the past about people offering to sell Evil Spirits to people.

Thats crazy my god what people would buy these days I heard someone tell me if you take to peices of wood then nailed them a way no one has every nailed them someone would come by and say I'll buy that because it's one of a kind... to me its all about money that's what makes the world go around if money never came to be I think the world would be diffrenent place then it is now personally... but hey anything for money now a days...

but imagine it people, how much would a REAL possessed doll cost ? if it was proven to be truly haunted... then people would believe it and go crazy over it.. oh man.. I gotta look for a haunted doll now..
