Have you done a Paranormal investigation? I am mainly curious and it is too bad we do not have a team near where I live that I could join. Although most teams seem to want those without empathic ability. disgust.gif Oh well that is life I guess.

with friends....you could always investigate with friends....
Rakshasas
I agree with Darknight. Most groups in my experience are a group of friends that shared a common interest and started investigating.I go out with my own friends who are as curious as I am. grin2.gif

safety in group and also the more ppl in group can lookout more....
Crosis
Hmmm..overpriced much.

Much too muuuuuuuuuch...

steer clear and buy the stuff seperately.

A gaussmaster is ok but they are wildly inacurate after a few uses or knocks.

and the rest of the stuff you can buy in maplin in the first kit.

the second kit is better but they both have IR thermometers and they are nearly useless in an investigation.

I didnt know any of my group before we set it up.

Crosis, how long have you been investigating hauntings and how many people do you investigate with. your group sounds cool. I've been asked to join many groups but I really don't have the time. I work like 80 hours a week right now lol.

Actively about 3 years but i have been researching the subject since i was about 12, it depends on the size of the location but can be between 4 and 20.

WOW your like the first group I've talked to from the UK that investigates ghosts. I started my intrest since I moved into a haunted house at age 7 and ever since then I always enjoy true ghost stories and stuff. let me guess did you live in a haunted house too?
Crosis
No i never did, i heard stories about where my grandparents live but never lived anywhere haunted.
Mind you i dont think anywhere is haunted so i could have....if you get my drift.

3 years of hard graft and we are finally starting to get people contact us to investigate private properties. Some of which i cant talk about as our client is the local authorities and they dont want locations mentioned.
Its kindof annoying really, certain locations we have investigated would shove our groups profile through the roof, but alas its not to be original.gif
Caeser
I've had many people talk to me about a ghost/spirit in there house but never really went to the property

OK, I am looking to get a few pieces of equipment together so I can start going out 'in the field' again. Anyone have any recommendations, brands etc?

Which pieces of equipment would you advise picking up first?
Chase
I've always heard about EMF meters... and they're supposed to sometimes provide some interesting results but lord knows where your supposed to find one?!?!
Vemkeit
If you would like to buy them piece by piece then you should look at this site, it's called "The Ghosthunter Store." and their prices are pretty good anyway the links is below, I got an EMF from them and it worked great but remember EMF's also pick up any electrical current so some time you think its paranormal but it's you light plug or a power box.

Lol.

I hate that when you spent most of your money, and some time you don't even now where it went, for me I do that a lot one second you have money in your pocket the next minute its gone and you sit there and try to think where did it go?, unless you pay bills then you know where it goes crying.gif

Your Welcome, Maybe next time thumbsup.gif
Chase
Arghhh sod the bills, lets get some ghost hunting equipment! laugh.gif
Gigan
I agree! laugh.gif

The thing is, I don't know what to go for first.... unsure.gif
Chase
Personally I'd have to invest in some Infrared Motion Sensor Kits, An EMF Meter and thermometer!

Oh and a good flash light could probably do as well I guess yes.gif
DRM8043
I recomend the led flash lights, easier on eyes and on camera or camcorder.

Also cell sensor EMF really good I think. Seen it in action..

Um thats a start..

I just recently picked up one of the cell sensors, and I agree, an affordable and very user friendly piece of equipment.

even at some places where they are raised in price still cheap compaired to the other tri fields that I don't really think you need.
