First night babysitting

In 2005 I was still a junior and it was my first night babysitting my neighbors daughter. We both fell asleep on the downstiars fouton. Well she fell asleep and I didn\'t. My face was covered with the blanket and about ten minutes later I heard footsteps going up and down the stairs and people talking. Suddenly, the voices came closer to where I was laying and all I heard was,\" do you see her? She\'s right there sleeping.\" After that I forced myself to sleep but I kepted it from the little girl the next day. (She never sleeps in her room) days after that incident I was putting away her laundry.at night and I looked right into her closet and saw red eyes so I did what I did and tried to see if it was reflecting off of something through the windows but it was still there so I ran downstairs and stayed there til we fell asleep. A few days later I was back and that night the security alarm tripped and wouldn\'t turn off. The weirdest thing was her parents never had it installed it by adt so it was inactive. Til this day I don\'t understand why that neighborhood is haunted. My old house had doors opening by itself when its locked, doors slamming and someone running when no one else is in the house. My best friend lives on the other side of the block in the same neighborhood and I\'m there almost everyday and I saw toys being picked up and thrown across the room when no one else is around or a little boy running.....(I\'ve seen him and so have the boys)

Was this neighborhood an old settlement or had some kind of history to it? It's very interesting....the red eyes would freak me out and I'm not sure I would return! . . I live in a new neighborhood (under 8 years old)...but this land use to be part of the Civil War battlefield....we have lots going on in multiple houses.

Weird...... I would have informed the parents about it so they could look out for it because if the house was old or the spirits where attached to the land a simple banishing ritual or blessing of any kind would clear it up. But the thing in the closet as you described doesn't sound human to me but also doesn't sound harmful. I wouldn't work there tho... >_>
