Hello Everyone,
I just wanted to share a little info about pictures that most paranormal investigators know. I would also like to make a suggestion aswell.
Most paranormal investigators use an EXIF program to pull info from pictures, this lets us know what type of camera you used, the dates, jpg info including software used to edit it, all the cameras info including shutter speed, flash etc etc, this helps us determine whether or not a picture is real or faked. We as investigators need to know these things to determine whether or not we will take a case. I think you all understand what im saying.
Now for my suggestion, it would be extremely helpful to us if you want help with a photo analytically speaking not to use any editing software, we would prefer to see the original picture (undoctored).
This is just a suggestion for those who REALLY want help.

Thank you,
Brian

Good post but I think a little bit unreal in request. If anything, I would ask people to save 2 copies of a picture. Then they have the original as taken and a second one to "play with" (as in editing the color/darkness/gamma etc).

The original photo can be saved using any program. Then a second version can be SAVED AS and edited so the original stays "pure" and anyone interested in looking at an unedited version can request it from the client/claimant. I edit alot of my own pictures in that I change the light/darkenss levels, gama correction, zoom/crop it as required etc because when/if posted, it'll be easier for people to see what I'm talking about. I'm not going to post an original picture with instructions that say "save it, open it, zoom in to (such and such area) and then change the brightness levels to -45 etc etc etc." thats equally unrealistic.

Just because a picture is edited, it does not mean it's faked. It's easy enough to spot a fake pic by zooming in on the "ghost" or wahtever. More times than not people who try to fake pix cant pixilate the area between the real background and the "ghost" or whatever anomoly they're trying to put in properly and it's a dead giveaway.

I think it's an unfair request as people might not want photos of family members emblazoned across the internet. I'm sure everyone would be willing to tell family and friends to move out the way while they take a photograph of a ghost or spirit they suspect is in the room.
Pas a pas, se va lučnh.

I laughed at this!

I'm about to post a few pictures that have my son in them.
He took 3 pictures using a webcam and he just happens to be in the pictures as well.
I'd have to agree , I do feel uneasy showing his face.
