I watched an episode of "Paranormal State" on "On Demand" (I know they are not the greatest, but I was bored) and they used what they called Frank's Box to try and make contact with the spirits. There seemed to be direct answers to some of the questions they asked. I want to know if anyone has ever used one. How does it work? Is it a real means to communicate with spirits other than EVP's? Or is it just bogus nonsense where the person operating is hearing what they want to hear?

  • Interests:I love books. My friends and family tell me I am addicted to the written word and I am inclined to believe them. Mostly I like horror - Stephen King, Dean Koontz and the like - but I will read almost anything. I also love to write fiction and my dream is to one day see my name on the cover of a book. How sweet would that be??

I have never heard of one of those. I'll do some research. :tu:

Just some basic Google searches gave me these.

Here, Chris Moon gives a demo.

Also, this is a link to some discussion on this subject from our sister site, Unexplained-Mysteries. They give some of the same links here but more discussion may help.

A very interesting topic... :hmm:

Thanks for the links. The video seemed a little "fishy" to me. I couldn't hear any of the answers. This box though... I just don't know... let me do some research too.

OK upon doing a little research I found out that the Frank's Box and other devices like it scans radio waves. It's kinda like turning the dial on the radio in your car really fast back and forth. This leaves ALOT of room for error and misinterpretation. I found another website Keyport Paranormal that shows just how jumbled the box sounds. There are a few videos and in some you can hear what may be answers to his questions. He even shows you how to make one from a simple RadioShack radio.
