I was looking at some news articles yesterday when I came across this one -

"A woman on her way to work in Florida this morning saw this beautiful image that looks like an angel watching over the highway.

The white cloud formation, spotted at 7am on Tuesday, cast a striking image as it rose above a low bank of darker clouds."

http://www.dailymail...da-highway.html

I've seen lots of news stories like this one with all sorts of weird and wonderful shaped clouds in them, but this one I thought was pretty good, so thought I'd share it :)

I also realise it is just a cloud which happens to resemble the shape of an angel. When I'm out walking with my camera taking photos, I never think to look up at the sky for some. Who knows, I might have missed a few interesting cloud formations like this one myself! I like clouds too.

Does anyone else here take pictures of strange shaped clouds? If you do, please feel free to post them. We could make this our 'strange clouds' thread B)

PARK1.JPG

The above picture was taken in my UFO days. Since my early child hood, my friends and I, had many encounters. We were occasionally being watched. The camera just happened to capture this object whilst we were larking about in Wollaton Park. Dave Simpson (wearing shorts), was twisting my arm behind my back! The sceptics, say that this is just a cloud.

lan3.jpg

Another picture given to me by the occupants of a UFO. I asked them for a picture, and they sent me this areal photograph taken above Larnaca Cyprus. I was driving my car in France at the time, when the picture appeared. I was able to identify the picture from a library book, called Images of Earth by Prentice Hall. The book contains images taken by Voyager 4 by the American astronauts. Apparently, this picture is better than the NASA image, as earth technology is waiting to catch up. This is NOT a satellite image, but a REAL 35mm Kodak picture taken from a height of around 100 miles in order to capture this large area. Although it may be easy to explain away the land...look at the cloud formation.

lan1.jpg

picture on the left is by courtesy of NASA, whilst my picture is to the right. Both are identical...apart from the cloud

Indeed!

To confirm this location, you need to look at the way the light falls, bottom left to top right. Indicating the sun position.

Although nearly everyone accepts that this is Larnaca Bay in Cyprus, they say that it was taken out of an aircraft window during landing at Larnaca.

I have flown dozens of times to Cyprus, as I am half Cypriot, and never is it possible to see so much land mass from the port hole.
Nor have I ever flown over Cyprus.

I recollect the date as being around 1982. I had driven by car to Estartit in Northern Spain. This was the last exposure on my slide film. The rest were in the surrounding area of Spain.

During my early years, I was often visited by UFOs and used to leave transmitted requests for photographs.

I was fortunate to recieve many more, including themselves, craft and areal pictures from areas that I do not recognise.

Well...I know all this is not going down too well...lol...but what does it matter?

They talk to me, and treat me as a friend. Perhaps it is because I accept without wanting proof?

My last encounter was on the 13th March 2013, when I lost 13-45 minutes of time. They took over my dictation machine and left messages about Roswell and Ohio. I made a post here on this forum.

So....that puts me on cloud nine, whilst most people are still discussing life under rocks on Mars.

Folks read about me, and think I am some looney with no life, penniless and thick. Sometimes I think the same about them.

Ok, this picture is in today's news -.

Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No - it's a cloud that has a striking resemblance to a Jumbo Jet.. . The eerie formation was spotted soaring high above Dartmouth, Devon.. . Amateur photographer Andy Kyle thought it looked like a Boeing 747, but quickly realised it was just a cloud.

Not bad for these types of cloud shapes, I thought :D

Great thread. I've been fascinated with clouds since childhood. The ability of our brain to translate the shapes around us into something we can put our finger to is an amazing quality but sadly it gives way to all sorts of wild assumptions, as any fan of paranormal knows :) While these are certainly very interesting, I'd be cautious about going any further with animism. I stumbled online upon a large group of people who believe that some clouds are in fact air elementals - sylphs -  who consume chemtrails in order to protect manking from pollution   If so, the other spirits are doing a very lousy job in comparison

Time for another cloud pic, I've just found this one in today's news -.

Nurse Andrea Dikantova was playing with her children in the countryside when the clouds formed an almost perfect angel complete with a halo on its head.. . Mrs Dikantova, 36, had decided to go out into the fields to enjoy the autumn weather outside her home in the village of Gerlachov in Slovakia's northeastern region of Tatry, when she was treated to the spectacular scene.

Not bad :)

It's been a while but here's one in today's news -.

A woman on her way to a Christmas get-together to remember her late father was astonished when she looked up to the clouds and spotted what looked like an angel.. . Sherrie Abbott, 40, was driving to see her 44-year-old sister Georgina Barron when the winged figure appeared in the sky

And from a couple of weeks ago, except this isn't a cloud for a change.

Britain may have been reeling from the effects of a ‘weather bomb’ this week, but that didn’t deter one photographer from getting out there and capturing a somewhat eerie shot of an elderly looking man in a wave.

The mysterious ghost-like image appeared as Ron Steenvoorden was out taking pictures on the Isle of Islay in Scotland.

A woman has spotted a cloud bearing an astonishing similarity to slain Cecil the lion - complete with his distinctive large snout and huge mane.

Heidi Webb, 41, was relaxing in her garden after a hard day at work by watching the clouds overhead.

But she was amazed when she looked up and spotted the head of majestic Cecil forming in the clouds.

It's Dumbo! ...or so the article says -.

Hovering above the Northumberland countryside, this is the moment onlookers were left astonished when an elephant-shaped cloud emerged on the skyline.

With a remarkable likeness to children's favourite Dumbo, the fluffy cloud gathered above the rooftops of properties in Alnwick, Northumberland.

Eagle-eyed photographer Steve Miller snapped the image after realising he could make out a 'trunk, four legs and a tail' on the cloud.
