Unknown gas-like mass

In the end of August 2009 our group was doing continuing investigation in a location that has shown some promise for unexplained occurrences. I set my Nikon 210 on continuous at internals of every 30 seconds and walked away to check other areas. In several shots members of the group were send moving by the front of the camera and when I originally viewed this picture I thought that it was just another person caught by the camera. But, when I lightened the pic this is what I observed. I do not know what it is. Maybe it is simply another shot of someone walking by the camera but it doesn't appear that way and I see no signs or form of a person in this gas-like mass. Ideas?

.I have now submitted the original, now waited for it to be posted.Do you have the original, unlightened version? That might give us a better idea of what we're looking at.
