Strange apparition (?) caught by my cell phone camera taken April 3, 2008, 3pm. I was walking through the battlefield alone, with hardly any other visitors in the park..People who are capable of picking up on spirits can usually feel a presence somewhere on the battlefield, especially in the area of Snodgrass Hill. I snapped a few pictures inside the Snodgrass house, and noticed a strange image in this picture. I didn't notice anything while standing there, but I did have a weird feeling like someone was watching me even though I was completely alone on the hill..I've shown this pic to several people. Non-believers don't see anything out of the norm; believers all see the same...an image (head and faded torso) of a woman staring back at the camera.

.it's possible that there's a ghost there, but it could also be the coloring of the wood on the wall plus the way the light hits the wall that makes it look like a person's face and body.I can see that it looks darker here, almost like an aparition, but it may be a shadow.
I thought the same when I looked at the picture at home. I went back to the cabin to look specifically at the wood coloration, but it looked nothing like the photo...really odd thing. Another weird thing is that there are local stories of a woman dressed in white known to haunt the area of this hillside at night. This battlefield was one of the last major fights of the civil war, and one of the bloodiest. I plan on going back at night to try and take more pics to see what I can come up with..it's possible that there's a ghost there, but it could also be the coloring of the wood on the wall plus the way the light hits the wall that makes it look like a person's face and body..I can see that it looks darker here, almost like an aparition, but it may be a shadow.
